Cogan Shipping Services
You can count on us to get your order where it needs to be quickly, safely and economically. Here are the shipping packages we provide:Package #1A: Pick Up Canada and USA – Flatbed
This order can only be picked up with a Flatbed, no closed trucks or containers are permitted.
Customer is required to make a pick-up appointment with Cogan’s Transport Department when the order is ready to ship.
Cogan will provide a Bill of Lading for all pick-ups. Commercial Invoice and customs documents will be provided for orders shipping to the United States.
Important: Please note that Cogan will need to confirm a complete shipping address no later than the approval drawing stage. This is to ensure we provide accurate information on all shipping documents and shipping labels, which are required to tag each skid.
Package #1B: Pick Up Canada and USA – Closed Truck / Container
This order can be picked up with a Closed Van or Container, with dimensions of 8’ x 53’ only. The customer must confirm the type of transport at the time of placing their order.
Customer is required to make a pick-up appointment with Cogan’s Transport Department when the order is ready to ship.
Cogan will provide a Bill of Lading for all pick-ups. Commercial Invoice and customs documents will be provided for orders shipping to the United States.

Package #2: UPS Parcel (0-150 lbs.)

Length + (2 x height) + (2 x width)
Depending on your delivery requirements, you can choose between Standard, Expedited or Express Service. Different rates apply. Cogan will provide tracking information once the order has been picked up.
Please note that Cogan will need to confirm a complete shipping address no later than the approval drawing stage. This is to ensure we provide accurate information on all shipping documents and shipping labels, which are required on your shipment.
Package #3: UPS Freight (0-1000 lbs. / maximum 1 skids)

This is to ensure we provide accurate information on your shipping documents and shipping labels, which are required to tag each skid. For time-sensitive shipments that require a specific delivery time, a Time-Keeper option is available at an additional charge.
Package #4: Transport Broker (1 skid or more / over 1000 lbs.)
Transport Broker service is offered for shipments of more than 2 skids with a total weight of over 1000 lbs. As your order enters its final stage of production, Cogan will provide a ship date. Once your order has shipped, the driver will call the onsite contact 24 hours prior to delivery to confirm either a morning or an afternoon delivery for the next day.
Since an order shipping via Transport Broker can be bulky with many components, we carefully photograph each skid before and after it has been loaded onto the truck. Shipping photos will be sent to you before the material arrives. You’ll know exactly what to expect so you can have the proper equipment to unload and prepare a staging area.
Please note that Cogan will need to confirm a complete shipping address no later than the approval drawing stage. This is to ensure we provide accurate information on all shipping documents and shipping labels, which are required to tag each skid. In the event that your shipment is accidentally misplaced during transit, it will be well-identified and easier to retrieve.
Important: If a U.S. Driver is required for delivery (i.e. to deliver to an Army Base), it will be considered as an add-on service and must be requested at the quoting stage in order to provide an accurate freight quote.
Package #5: International Pick Up (Shipping outside of Canada and the USA)
International Pick-Up service is offered for orders shipping outside of Canada and the United States via truck, train or ocean freight. Cogan will provide a Bill of Lading and a Commercial Invoice only. The customer will be fully responsible for all Customs documentation beyond this point, as well as for procuring containers, delivering and picking up from Cogan and then, all train or ocean freight arrangements. Additional charges for treated wood or for special packaging will be applied to orders that are shipping overseas inside a container.

Cogan Packaging Services
Whether your order is travelling an ocean away or just around the corner, we’ll make sure your material is packaged properly with all the information you need for trouble-free delivery. Here are the packaging services we provide:Package #1: For an order to be split into sections (E.g. Part A-B-C)
Upon request, Cogan will provide a quote for an order to be separated and packaged in different sections. Engineering will provide approval drawing identifying the different sections and how they will be produced. All of the material for each section will be produced, packaged on separate skids and marked accordingly.
(E.g. Section #1 / Section #2 / Section #3)
Package #2: Extra protection of material (showroom / store)
This service is offered at quoting stage for material that will be presented to the public (i.e., tradeshow, showroom floor, retail store, where the product must be in optimal condition). Extra packing material will be used to reduce the risk of scratches that may occur during transit.
